Most garage doors are made from a very thin gauge of steel (25 gauge) which is as thin as it gets.  A 2 car garage door is so wide that it tends to sag in the middle, which causes the sections to slowly cave in over time.  A great solution for this problem is installing a “Strut” for support.  A strut will keep the section straight and if it’s installed early enough it will prevent damage to the sections from occurring or getting worse.  We have installed lots of struts over the years and never had to go back.
